COMMUNITY at Harling Benefice

The Harling United Benefice is made up of a number of parishes. The church lives and works at the very heart of our community during various times of year: Easter, Harvest, Christmas etc.

BIBLE STUDY & Prayer Groups

The Bible Study Group normally start with tea/coffee followed by a short time of worship; we then move into the central element of the meeting which is our bible study; we close with a period of prayer, both thanks and intercessions. 

Questions About Faith

Asking questions, and learning from them, are a vital part of the Christian 'journey'. These are some of the questions people have asked in the past; the responses are written collaboratively by members of our congregations.

thought for the Month

On Epiphany Sunday in church, Sarah talked about when the wise men were looking for the baby Jesus. They misread the signs and made a mistake and went into Herod’s palace looking for a wealthy prince, instead of following the star to the stable. The very next day on the Today programme, I woke up to some politician being harangued by John Humphries, getting him to try and admit that he had made a mistake.  I don’t know how many times he was asked but each time the answer was a sidestep. For a politician this would be career suicide.
